I have no iPad yet, but it would certainly be interesting to provide a Wiki! version for it. I hope I have the time to look at it in the next months :-) sorry it won't be quicker than that, but I'm quite busy at the moment with other interesting topics...

I have an iPad and would love to use a Wiki!Pro on it. Are you planning to develop an iPad designed version (e.g. Wiki!ProHD)?

Hi Yoshi,

The Wiki! application is available as-is in the App-store, but currently not open source of any kind. You can download the Wiki! lite app for free from there, or purchase the Wiki! pro app for $ 0.99 if you want to store articles on your iPhone.
I hope this answers your question, if not please don't hesitate to contact me :-)

With regards,

Thijs

Thanks in advance.

Hi Manu,

Unfortunately WikiTravel uses an older version of the base Mediawiki package, which misses several features required for Wiki. As soon as WikiTravel updates its Mediawiki version, I'll add it to the list of supported wikis (it was my initial reason for creating Wiki, but noticed after a while that it missed essential functionality).

With regards,

Thijs

Hi Raghu,

I've posted this document here that should answer your questions: How to download and view offline articles. Saving an article is exactly how you've described it. Please note that it might take some time to
actually download the whole article, depending on your network connection. Viewing an offline article is done via the search-screen
with the bookmarks-button in the search-field. Then you select the 'Downloads' tab, and there you'll see all articles you've downloaded so far.

I noticed that Wikibooks stores it's books in multiple articles (e.g. chapters). Currently it is not possible to download a complete book at once (since the app doesn't know the difference between a chapter-link and a regular link), but you'll need to download each article separately. I'll take a look at it later, if this can be optimized, so that a book can be downloaded at once, by downloading its main-article.

I hope this answers your questions!

With regards,

Thijs Reus

Hi Thijs,

I just purchased this app.

I have two questions.
1. How do I save the page on wikibooks on to my iphone?

2. I tried setting 'Offline' option to 'Yes', but then how I view these pages later, when not connected to the internet?

Please reply asap. Thanks in advance.
